Family Planning

Moroto RRH Family Planning Unit provides contraceptive methods and reproductive health services to enable individuals and couples to plan and space their pregnancies. It encompasses education, counseling, and access to a wide range of contraceptive methods tailored to individual needs and preferences. Family planning services contribute to improving maternal and child health, reducing unintended pregnancies, and promoting women's empowerment and well-being.

Antenatal Care (ANC)

Antenatal care refers to the healthcare services provided to pregnant women before childbirth. Moroto RRH ANC carries out regular check-ups, screenings, and interventions to monitor the health of both the mother and the developing fetus. It involves assessing the progress of the pregnancy, detecting, and managing any potential complications, and providing education and support to pregnant women regarding nutrition, hygiene, and childbirth preparation. Moroto RRH ANC plays a crucial role in promoting maternal and fetal health, reducing the risk of complications during pregnancy and childbirth, and ensuring safe delivery outcomes.

Postnatal Care

Postnatal care encompasses healthcare services provided to mothers and newborns in the immediate aftermath of childbirth and during the postpartum period. It involves monitoring and addressing the physical and emotional well-being of both mother and baby, identifying and managing any postpartum complications or health issues, and providing support with breastfeeding, newborn care, and family planning. Postnatal care aims to promote recovery, prevent complications, and support the transition to parenthood for mothers and families.

Maternal Child Health (MCH)

Maternal child health focuses on the health and well-being of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as the health of infants, children, and adolescents. MCH services encompass a continuum of care, including family planning, antenatal care, postnatal care, immunizations, growth monitoring, and management of childhood illnesses. They aim to reduce maternal and child mortality and morbidity, promote healthy pregnancies and childbirth outcomes, ensure optimal growth and development for children, and empower families to make informed decisions about their health.
